Johan Ibrahim Adam

Johan Ibrahim Adam’s artistic practice originates from drawing and painting, and has expanded into a wide range of disciplines, including glassblowing, textiles, poetry, sculpture, and performance. Teaching and educating others also plays a significant role in his work, which he views as an essential part of his creative journey.

He is particularly fascinated by the fine line between art and craft—a recurring theme that runs through his practice, whether in the form of painting, sculpture, or digital media. His inspirations are drawn from natural phenomena, scientific research, spiritual thinking, and both historical and political (mis)interpretations. By weaving together these diverse areas of interest, he juxtaposes fiction and reality to explore life both around and within himself.
