Optogenetics is part of the research field of neurosciences that observes behaviours in brain cells. Penso finds inspiration in genetic structures and works sculpturally with these shapes in different types of spaces.

In the encounter between the greater external world, in the form of the urban space’s historical monuments and the microscopic inner world, an interesting tension is created. Penso allows us to access new perspectives of the unseen and paves the way for new lines of thought.

Close-up of the statue of Karl XIV Johan, which has been decorated with purple rings hanging around the statue. On the statue's foundation you can also see a lion which is part of the statue and in the background you can see part of the castle.
