Martin Ander moves between art, illustration, craft and design. Under the signature Mander, he creates visual sinkholes. Worlds filled with popular culture references, intricate patterns, painstaking compositions, grotesque figures and irreverent typography.

The traces of Mander’s background in graffiti, punk and skateboarding are always there, as are his interests in comics, art and design history. Mander’s images challenge the observer to stop and take their time to decipher the message. There is much to discover here.
