Johanna Väisänen

Johanna Väisänen works mostly with installation and video. Her artistic work is often about collected or recycled objects. Many of Väisänen's works are connected to the problematic nature of memory. They look at memory and the dynamics between past and present from different perspectives. The techniques Väisänen uses are video, photography, sound, drawing and painting. These elements are often combined into installations made of recycled material. The themes that emerge are environmental issues, different stories and animal rights.
