61Migratory life document

Satoshi Murakami 1988, Tokyo, Japan. Lives and works in Nagano, Japan

Since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the question “Is it OK to continue daily life as it is?” has been left somewhere in my mind. We Japanese have caused the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

In this settled society, we humans are related very complicatedly, so there are not such plain enemies like “we could be happy if we remove him/her.”

Therefore, I thought I would start with creating my own life through creative and practical projects thinking that the actions against society must appear as inversion of the actions to myself. First of all, I started walking with a small Styrofoam house on my back and living in that house under the title “Migratory Life.”
