Welcome to Open Repetition and Performance of the sculptural movement piece “Sensation of Phrases – Reflections” by sculptor Josefina Posch and movement artist Minna Elif Wendin. Meet the artists in Vågen Shopping Mall, where they move between floors and the sculptures installed on the ground floor.
Vågen Shopping Mall, Våghustorget, Örebro
July 22 – July 24, 10:00 – 18:00, starting every hour on the sharp. Duration: 5 to 30 minutes
Sensations of Frases – Reflections is a continuation of the collaboration Wendin and Posch have had during 2014/15, when they discovered interesting contact points and team/counterplay in their practices; in their tactile and non-text-based research processes, the physical performance is central and the encounter with the public is a clear working method. The work revolves around mobility and stability, where simultaneous and separate motion sequences create a choreography in stillness and rotation.
The artwork slides into the exploration of the stream of time, where continuity is created through the fading of time. The sculptures capture the sensations of the body, with their cells, fibroblasts, surface and textures, time-aging joints and movements, concurrently frozen in stillness and active as participating actors during the presentations, in which they interact with the artists.
The work is supported by The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
