Epoxy; 180 x 170 x 40 cm
The sculpture consists of a duck head with a big bow that is sliced into three pieces in bright colors made of epoxy. The pieces also serve as seating furniture. It is a play of words and perception with a bizarre sense in which the sheets can resemble large pieces of meat or large pieces of cake. The eye must look for the big picture.
Lena Flodman works with objects that are often put together with other items into sculptures; usually, things she collects from garbage or on the beach, but often flea market bargains. She magnifies the assemblages in different materials.
