The theme of these images is related to urban exploration, and involves documenting places formerly inhabited. These pictures were taken near Nice, in France and were made with a special consideration for authenticity and realism, without any intervention on the original setting. All that appears in the pictures was on the scene. Anyone who looks at the pictures can create their own stories.
Having understood that in photography everything has been virtually captured, I became aware of the importance of speaking one’s own photographic language. I think that in photography light matters more than the subject. Therefore, I shoot in low light and I focus on turning the ugly into beauty by looking for what is forgotten and excluded. My photographic series document places with objectivity.
